Hundreds of citizens responded to the call of the leader of "Albania Becomes", Adriatik Lapaj, for the next protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, to demand the resignation of the government. As in previous rallies, citizens gathered with national symbols and banners "Edi Rama, thief", "Where did the stolen billions go".
During his speech, Lapaj stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama is losing the facade of a man who stands for justice. According to him, the prime minister is insulting citizens by keeping the corrupt in office despite the scandals that involve them, while also "ignoring" the US calls for a fight against crime and corruption in Albania.
Lapaj also called again from the protest square to all opposition parties to unite beyond party leaders or flags.
"We have said that we aim for a great opposition unity in the square, beyond the party leaders and flags. The forum will not be represented by party leaders, but by citizens of the different political spectrum, democrats, members of 'Albania Becomes', all movements and civil society. The emphasis should be on the People's Union, because the need is common. Not on the leaders. We do not make an agreement with Sali Berisha," he said.
However, the agreement with Berisha seems to be advancing, as DP MP Besart Xhaferri was also present at the protest, and said he had received the approval of the DP leader.
"Mr. Berisha definitely confirmed that, if we wish, we can join this protest," Xhaferri declared.

The presence of the head of the DP Youth Forum was a novelty of the Lapaj protest and a clear signal that the DP and "Albania Becomes" are putting aside previous clashes and are getting closer politically.
It remains to be seen whether Adriatik Lapaj will return the favor on Monday by staying during Berisha's speech in front of the Prime Minister's Office, without retreating from his position as he has done on other occasions.
