MP Jorida Tabaku supported Gazment Bardhi's statement that the DP should participate in the Territorial Reform Commission.
Unlike the stance of the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, to boycott the commission, Tabaku, in an interview with A2 CNN, stated that the party should not repeat the mistakes of the past and should fight within the institutions.
"This is a decision that certainly belongs to the structures of the Democratic Party. I think that the DP should not repeat the mistakes of the past and, secondly, it should be there in the institutions to fight there. There are many colleagues who say 'they don't take us into account, they don't include us', and this is the truth in fact. But I think we are at a stage where we have shown how bad the governance is, but we should be there to fight our battle," said Tabaku.
We recall that within the DP there are clear signals of division between public statements and real positions regarding reforms that require cooperation with the majority. Regarding the Territorial Reform, Berisha has stated that the DP should boycott it, while Gazment Bardhi has stated that the DP will be part of this commission.
