An operation organized by the Vlora Police has led to the arrest of two people, a father and son, who were in possession of firearms and ammunition in their apartment in the village of Mifol.
The police operation, codenamed "Duo", was finalized following information provided by police intelligence, as part of the work to prevent serious criminal incidents and identify cases of illegal possession of weapons.
Those arrested are:
BK, 49 years old, with a previous criminal record for illegal possession of weapons;
KK, 21 years old, his son;
Both residents of the village of Mifol.
During the search of their apartment, the Police services found and seized as material evidence:
1 automatic firearm with a cartridge in the chamber, ready to fire;
1 ammo rack;
About 200 rounds of ammunition;
1 cold weapon (knife).
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for further legal action.
The Vlora Police emphasizes that controls and operations to identify cases of illegal possession of weapons will continue with high intensity throughout the territory of the district.
