The Cerrik Police have cracked down on two cases of theft of private property, arresting two people suspected of committing these criminal acts. One of the detainees has been previously convicted of theft.
Following reports made by citizens about two recent theft cases in the city, Police services were able to identify, locate and detain the following citizens:
Xh. S., 35 years old, resident of Cërrik, with a previous criminal record for theft. It is suspected that, over a two-week period, he stole goods worth approximately 100,000 lek from a supermarket in the city.
KM, 31 years old, also a resident of Cërrik. It is suspected that on September 12, 2025, he stole a mobile phone from citizen AH, 62 years old.
The police inform that investigations are still ongoing, with the aim of fully documenting the criminal activity of these citizens as well as identifying other possible cases of involvement in theft.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan for further legal action.
