Laundering drug money, GJKKO sentences former director of Durres Cadastre

The Special Court sentenced the former director of the Cadastre in Durrës, Rajmonda Dashi, to 7 years in prison on charges of money laundering. Due to the summary trial, her sentence was reduced to 4 years and 8 months in prison. The court decided to convert this sentence into 3 years of probation. Dashi was accused of laundering the money of her brothers convicted of drug trafficking in Belgium, who were also convicted.

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has submitted to the Court the request with the subject: “Trial of the criminal case pertaining to criminal proceedings no. 18, of 2023, against the defendants Besjan Ramaj, Leonard Ramaj, Ardjan Malasi and Rajmonda Dashi”

2. The trial of this case was conducted under the rules of summary trial. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of judges Elsa Ulliri, Bib Ndreca and Flora Hajredinaj, with decision No. 65, dated 17.10.2025, decided: 1. The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Besjan Ramaj for committing the criminal offense "Laundering of proceeds of criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in collaboration, provided for by Article 287, paragraph two of the Criminal Code, and his sentence to 10 years of imprisonment.

2. The not guilty plea of ​​the defendant Besjan Ramaj for committing the criminal offense "Structured criminal group", provided for by Article 333/a, first paragraph, of the Criminal Code.

3. Pursuant to Article 406, point 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendants Besjan

Ramaj's sentence is reduced by 1/3 (one third), ultimately being sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in prison.

4. The sentence shall begin to be served from the moment of execution of this decision and shall be carried out in a normal security prison.

5. The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Leonard Ramaj for committing the criminal offense "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in

collaboration, provided for by Article 287, paragraph two of the Criminal Code, and his sentence to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

6. The acquittal of the defendant Leonard Ramaj for committing the criminal offense "Structured criminal group", provided for by Article 333/a, second paragraph, of the Criminal Code.

7. Pursuant to Article 406, point 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant Leonard Ramaj is reduced by 1/3 (one third) of the sentence given, being ultimately sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment.

8. The sentence shall begin to be served from the moment of execution of this decision and shall be carried out in a normal security prison.

9. The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Ardjan Malasi for committing the criminal offense
