The investigation into the murder of 23-year-old Albanian Hekuran Cumani in Italy has entered a crucial phase. Italian authorities have managed to identify the suspected perpetrator of the tragic incident that took place in the city of Perugia, after a violent fight in front of a nightclub in the university area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, in front of the well-known “100Dieci” pub, where a night of fun among young people ended in tragedy. According to Italian media reports, Cumani was stabbed during a conflict that began inside the bar and then escalated outside it.
Thanks to the accurate information provided by the victim's friends and the numerous testimonies present at the scene, the investigators of the Perugia Flying Squad have now identified the possible perpetrator of the crime. According to investigative sources, the perpetrator is suspected to be a young man of North African origin, who was in the bar with some of his friends. It is this group that is thought to have started the fight initially inside the premises of the bar, and then continued outside, where the fatal blow to the 23-year-old Albanian occurred.
Italian authorities are continuing their search for the perpetrator, while the Perugia prosecutor's office has opened criminal proceedings for intentional homicide. The victim's body has been sent for an autopsy, pending results that will help fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
