
Three Albanian citizens have been arrested by the Greek police following an operation carried out by the Katerini Police forces in an area of Thessaloniki. The arrests were made following a detailed search of a location that the suspects were using for illegal activities. During the search, the police discovered and seized a number of illegal materials. Specifically, the following were found and confiscated:
a quantity of marijuana weighing 60 grams,
another quantity of marijuana weighing 52 grams,
a package of cocaine weighing 2.4 grams,
two precise electronic scales,
a 9 mm caliber pistol with magazine and 7 cartridges,
the amount of 1655 euros and 225 Albanian lek,
as well as 7 mobile phones.
During the search of the outdoor premises, the police also found a marijuana plant, approximately 2 meters long, which was being cultivated by the suspects in the yard of the facility. The plant was uprooted and seized as material evidence. Meanwhile, in a warehouse used by the arrested, marijuana plant extracts with a total weight of 1 kilogram and 158 grams were found and seized.
The three Albanian citizens were arrested at the scene and a criminal case has been opened against them for the criminal offenses of drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, and cultivation of narcotic plants. The seized materials and the relevant file will be transferred to the Prosecutor of the First Instance Court of Thessaloniki, who will continue the legal procedures.
