SPAK continues the process of strengthening its investigative capacities, while still awaiting the appointment of the new head of the National Bureau of Investigation. In this context, competitions for the selection of support staff and financial investigators have been intensified, while the next phase of testing for candidates is expected to take place this Thursday.
In parallel with this process, SPAK has opened a new call for the recruitment of 10 Judicial Police officers, who will be engaged in the investigation of cases related to corruption and organized crime. According to the established criteria, the recruitments target officers from several specific institutions: one candidate from Anti-Terrorism, two from the General Directorate of Taxes, two from Customs, one from the Police Supervision Agency and another from the Border Police. Economic crime officers and those from structures against organized crime are also eligible to apply.
The officers to be selected will act as liaisons between SPAK, BKH and the institutions they come from, ensuring rapid and secure exchange of information and full access to data. Their role is considered essential for the efficiency of investigations and inter-institutional cooperation.
Each officer will have a five-year mandate and, regardless of the institution of origin, will act independently in fulfilling their duties within the structures of SPAK and BKH. This independence is intended to maintain integrity and impartiality in investigations related to corrupt officials and organized crime networks.
