Officers of the National Bureau of Investigation were attacked, the Fier Prosecutor's Office sends citizens KK, LK, and GK for trial
The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier completed the investigations and sent citizens KK, LK and GK to trial for the criminal offense of "Assault due to duty", in collaboration, provided for by articles 237/3 and 25 of the Criminal Code.
At the conclusion of the investigations into criminal proceedings No. 509 of 2025, conducted in cooperation with the judicial police, it was possible to prove that, on 15.04.2025, police officers from the Operational Force at the General Directorate of Police, together with an officer from the National Bureau of Investigation, went to the city of Fier as planned, with the aim of carrying out investigative actions.
During the day, according to the dynamics, they moved to different places in the city of Fier. On this same date, police officers were followed and then detained by the defendants, where despite their presentation as police officers, the defendants, in collaboration with each other, with active actions, exercised physical violence against the police officers, due to the exercise of their lawful duty.
In connection with the above incident, the defendants were arrested in flagrante delicto and investigated under the security measures of "prison arrest" and "house arrest".
The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier remains committed to guaranteeing regular state activity, state authority and the health of persons performing a state duty, from criminal acts.
