Journalist Klodiana Lala, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, spoke about the Bankers Petroleum affair, which is now being investigated by SPAK, with suspicions of a structured criminal organization.
Lala said that two people suspected of being involved in the affair are a former minister of the "Rama 1" and "Rama 2" governments as well as a current member of the Albanian Parliament from the ranks of the Socialists.
"In the Fier prosecutor's file, it turns out that a former minister from Rama's time in the "Rama 1" and "Rama 2" governments is involved, and a member of Parliament from the ranks of the Socialists is a person referred to as being involved in the Bankers affair. So these people are referred to as being involved in several criminal offenses.
The second moment, there are five judges and prosecutors who have had cases involving Bankers and are suspected of having made decisions for corrupt reasons. There are also tax officials, they are being verified if they had a role in tax evasion, so that the company would end up with a loss. These are the areas of action where the Special Prosecution Office has stopped. Many wiretaps have been made, the range of people investigated will be very large. SPAK has not yet summoned the people.
"Apparently, the prosecution is considering whether to take the same stance as Fieri regarding the first suspects. There may be a possibility of new measures for senior officials," Lala declared.
