A serious incident occurred this morning, October 19, in the city of Maliq, where a house caught fire, causing the loss of life of a woman. Her two children managed to be rescued and were urgently transported to the regional hospital in Korça.
According to preliminary information, the mother was unable to leave the apartment in time and died as a result of asphyxiation, while the children suffered burns to various parts of their bodies. They are under the care of doctors and fortunately are out of danger.
The causes of the fire have not yet been determined. Firefighters and an investigation team have arrived at the scene and are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
