The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has revealed details from the investigations into the Çela-Çopja criminal organization, led by Ervis Cela and Franc Copja.
According to journalist Klodiana Lala, the organization had created a sophisticated network for arms and drug trafficking.
Declassified communications between members of the group show sophisticated methods of transporting weapons: silenced weapons were placed in cans, more sophisticated weapons were stored in vacuum bags, while some weapons were disassembled and placed in metal boxes for transport.
"I'm putting silenced weapons in cans," it is said, among other things, in the SKY ECC intercepts.
The organization is also suspected of having trafficked tons of cocaine from Paraguay to Europe, laundering tens of millions of euros. SPAK identifies Ervis Celen and Franc Copjan as the core of this criminal group.
Investigations continue to fully document the group's activities and capture all persons involved./Panorama.al./
