Residents of several villages in the municipality of Selenica, in the Vlora region, protested this Sunday over the lack of road infrastructure. The peaceful protest took place at the entrance to the degraded road that connects the villages of Velca, Matogjini, Bashaj, Vërmiku and Ramica, with a length of about 10-15 kilometers.
Residents, equipped with banners with slogans such as "We Want Roads", "We Can't Wait Anymore" and "We Need Investments", demanded urgent intervention for the rehabilitation of the segment that has not seen any investment for years.
For several minutes, they symbolically blocked the entrance road to the villages, to draw the attention of the authorities to their long-standing problem.
