New details come to light from the clash between two robbers and the State Police, where one of them was injured, while the other ended up in handcuffs.
Sources indicate that they were pursued in the early hours of this morning, after a call they received from the driver of a G Class car, who was told that two armed men had come out and tried to rob the vehicle. According to the caller, he had resisted and had driven away at speed, even though they had fired at him. Police managed to spot the vehicle near Ciflig on the Tirana-Durres highway.
It turned out that the vehicle they were pursuing had been stolen on the evening of August 21 by two people, who at around 03:40 on August 21, violently robbed the employee of a gas station in Sukth, taking the money.
Despite being pursued by the police, the robbers resisted and quickly fled in the direction of Vora.
The police managed to surround them near the roundabout in Vora, which connects to the secondary road. A few meters from the place where the robbers and the police exchanged fire, there was a bar where a wedding was taking place, which increased the tension among the police forces. For 20 minutes they refused even though Ardit Domi, one of the suspects, had been injured.
In the conditions where he saw himself in danger, he decided to surrender, while resistance continued from Lorenc Çali from the village of Bilalas in Shijak.
Sources from the scene said that he decided to get out of the car after much negotiation with the police. Meanwhile, the wedding guests who were at the bar near the scene of the incident left with the help of the police, in order to avoid damaging the scene.
The videos below focus on all the moments of the police action, but also the moment when the two robbers are called upon to surrender.
