The highly wanted Lorenc Lala, 49 years old, accused of being a member of Laert Haxhiu's group, against whom SPAK and GJKKO have initiated proceedings, was extradited from the United Kingdom today.
London authorities have arrested the wanted man, handing him over to Albanian justice in Rinas.
Also known by two other identities as Kristian Lala and Ilir Lamberti, he was declared internationally wanted after the Ebasan Court in October 2023, which imposed the security measure "prison arrest".
Lala was accused of the criminal offense of "blood feud murder", "providing conditions and material means to commit murder" committed in the special form of collaboration, "structured criminal group" and "committing criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization".
The 49-year-old from Lushnja is suspected of having collaborated with Laert Haxhiu, Artan Tafani, a justice collaborator, Lulzim Spahija, Enriko Xhahysa and Bledar Berberi, to kill Albi Bashaliu, an event that occurred in December 2021, in the village of Gjocaj, Peqin.
Lorenc Lala is suspected of having provided the weapons used in the crime, as well as having provided the criminal group's means of transportation and their removal from the scene.
