Following Altin Ndoc's escape from Durrës hospital, the General Director of Prisons has decided to suspend the director of Durrës detention center, Endrit Cerloj, the deputy director, the doctor, and seven other officials until the circumstances of the incident are clarified.
Ndoci had been transferred from detention to the hospital for several medical visits, where he escaped under the nose of the prison police.
From the first investigations, the fact that a vehicle was waiting for him in the hospital parking lot indicates that he had planned the escape. It is being investigated whether any prison police officer or other structures were involved in this plan. Ndoci is considered one of the most dangerous people and is accused of being a hired killer of the criminal organization led by the brothers Franc and Hajdar Copja. The latter were in strong conflict with the criminal group led by Erion Alibej.
