After questioning Democratic Party MP Belind Këllici on Monday, it was Indrit Hoxha's turn to appear before SPAK and provide explanations in the context of a wealth investigation being conducted against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his family members.
SPAK is investigating the financing of the Re-establishment Assembly on December 11, 2021, when Berisha clashed with Lulzim Basha over the DP logo and seal, a battle that the former prime minister would win with a decision by the Court of Appeal.
Hoxha, according to sources, was questioned in his capacity as one of the organizers of the Re-establishment Assembly and was asked about the method of financing the Assembly. He currently holds the position of Secretary of the Diaspora and is also a member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Albania.
Sali Berisha is being tried at the GJKKO for corruption committed in collaboration with the Partizani file, while SPAK is also investigating his and his family's assets.
