
Lezha police announced on Monday that they are looking for the brother and nephew of former Socialist Party MP Arben Ndoka, who are accused of raping two people with force.
According to the police, Gëzim and Kevi Ndoka, father and son, are wanted, both linked to former MP Arben Ndoka, also wanted as part of a criminal organization.
"Around 12:30, in the premises of a bar in Lezha, citizens Gj. M., 41 years old and NM, 41 years old (cousins), are suspected of having conflicted for weak motives, with citizens GN, about 53 years old and KN, about 20 years old (father and son)," the police announced, mentioning the parties by their initials.
The victims of the attack were identified as cousins Gjergj and Nikolin Marku, both 41. Police said that after the attack they received treatment at the Lezha Regional Hospital for head fractures and then reported the attack to the police.
According to the victims' claims, the perpetrators entered the bar armed and hit them with hard objects. Police confirmed that the incident occurred around 12:30, but did not disclose the motives for the clash.
This is not the first time that relatives of the former socialist MP have faced justice. One of the brothers has long been convicted of participating in a criminal organization and crimes related to drug trafficking and property theft. Former MP Ndoka and other relatives are also under indictment. The former MP himself has been wanted since the summer of 2024. /BIRN/
