The Tirana Prosecution is expected to take the testimony of Emiljano Shullazi in detention center 313 in Tirana regarding the assassination attempt at the Rinas roundabout where one of the most active members of his criminal group, Gilmando Dani, was executed, as well as the AMP agent, Muçi Shaljani alias Sheqeri. The news is confirmed by sources close to the prosecution institution who emphasize that in the coming days two homicide officers will contact Shullazi and ask him if he has any suspicions about who organized the assassination attempt on his friend. It is not known whether Emiljano Shullazi will provide explanations, or will remain silent for the investigators.
Gilmando Dani was executed at the Rinas roundabout a few minutes after returning from Spain where he had traveled in the company of Muçi Shaljani, Sheqeri.
The video shows three gunmen shooting at the car Dani and Shaljani were traveling in, leaving them dead. The perpetrators' vehicle then drives away and is found burned in the village of Halil.
During this time, the prosecution has taken the testimony of several people who appear in Rinas, before, during and after the event, as there are suspicions that the criminal group had an informant at the airport who signaled the movements of Dani and the AMP agent. Regarding the motives, the prosecution is investigating several leads, from Dani's clashes with criminal groups, extortion to conflicts that he may have had in the last days before his execution. Gilmando Dani was released in October 2024 from prison where he served a sentence for extortion within the criminal group led by Shullazi.
