Giant masses of soil broke away this Friday on the Matogjin-Bashaj axis, in the territory of the Selenica Municipality, blocking the road and isolating dozens of families in the village of Bashaj.
According to preliminary information, the mountain has broken off at two different points within a time frame of about two hours, increasing the risk to residents and making traffic in the area difficult.
Residents have called for immediate intervention by relevant institutions, stressing that the situation is problematic and threatens their safety. Video footage recorded during the afternoon shows the extent of the collapse and the consequences on the ground.
Local authorities have not yet given an official response regarding the measures that will be taken to clean the road and guarantee the safety of residents.
