The State Police held a ceremony this Tuesday as part of the 113th anniversary of its establishment, while SPAK's investigations into its senior officials are advancing at a rapid pace.
Chief of Police Ilir Proda said, among other things: "The State Police never gives up, never breaks down and never stops. It develops, trains and works better every day, for the citizen and the law. In addition, our organization is not perfect, just as we are not like that. All of us are in a daily challenge, a challenge with ourselves, a challenge with standards, a challenge with expectations, to learn from mistakes and to improve."
During these 113 years, 231 police officers have lost their lives in the line of duty in the face of crime.
