Residents of Vlora, who have been facing a lack of drinking water for four days, protested in front of the “Petro Marko” Theater today. Tensions increased when some of the protesters broke the police cordon and entered the building, demanding an immediate solution to the water supply problem.
Numerous police forces were deployed at the scene, positioned inside and outside the theater, asking citizens to leave the premises. The protesters expressed indignation at what they said was the negligence of local institutions and warned that they would continue their mobilization until they received a concrete response from the authorities regarding the restoration of the water supply.
