A protest against the Interior Ministry's order banning electric skateboards will take place in the capital this Wednesday. The rally is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM, in front of the Interior Ministry building in Tirana.
The protest was announced by the organization "Civic Resistance", which called on citizens to participate with the motto: "Take your skateboard and come protest." According to them, it was previously communicated that the ban would be temporary and would only last one month.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Interior Minister Albana Koçiu stated in a press conference that the decision to ban skateboards is necessary until the creation of appropriate infrastructure for their circulation. She emphasized that the measure was taken due to citizens' concerns and to increase road safety.
