This Tuesday morning is proving stressful for many businesses, as has been the case for the last two months. E-Albania, the system through which many services operate and for which so much has been invested, is not working.
"E-Albania opens up to a certain point and then turns around," says an economist, irritated by this problem that has been going on for weeks. He has also sent photos, as he tries to enter the self-care system, through which businesses can see all purchase invoices coming from suppliers, or perform services such as fiscalization of imports. Small businesses without employees can use it to fiscalize sales invoices without buying software.
"Plus, every month at the end we verify purchases, sales, imports, etc. of the program we work with selfcare (Because selfcare automatically transfers the books to e-tax)
"And if Sefcare has problems (like today), the program we have for fiscalizing invoices does not do fiscalization," says the head of an accounting and business consulting office.
Economists have become "trackers" of the system, following it minute by minute to see if it is working or not, but this is translating into wasted time for them, which no one justifies.
Problems for individuals too
Another source told Monitor that the system has also broken down when it comes to vehicle inspections.
Even if you want to download a personal certificate, it is impossible, according to a test by Monitor. Although you can log in to the individual's account, when you give them the option to use it, the document is not downloaded. Meanwhile, for at least a month, a notice has been posted on the website that the General Directorate of Civil Status will carry out maintenance and improvement operations on its electronic system. "We inform you that during these processes there may be temporary interruptions or slowdowns in obtaining data through interaction with the National Civil Status Registry"
"E-albania is the government portal where public services found in the physical offices and counters of institutions are provided electronically thanks to the Government Interaction Platform that connects the systems of institutions with each other. The portal is conceived as a one-stop electronic office where the citizen registers using his identity card and is served by searching and applying for the service he needs," it says on the e-albania website.
But reality is showing that these services, instead of facilitating businesses and citizens, are turning into a nightmare for them. /Monitor
