Shemsi Bahtiri, a member of the Vetëvendosje movement in Kosovo, was arrested some time ago on suspicion of drug trafficking after the decommissioning of the encrypted Sky ECC application.
As part of the investigation, the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office requested assistance from SPAK to trace and seize Bahtir's assets in Albania, as there were strong suspicions that he had invested drug money in real estate. SPAK, after verifications, was only able to seize an apartment in Qerret i Kavajës owned by the 62-year-old.
Meanwhile, from looking at the website of the National Business Center, it turned out that Shemsi Bahtiri owns 100 percent of the shares of the entity "DAIMAN" shpk, with the object of activity "sale and purchase of real estate", but it does not appear to have been placed under seizure. The Special Prosecution Office also requested assistance in verifying other suspected persons, but SPAK did not reveal that they had any assets.
Bahtiri was arrested as part of the "Broken Sky" operation, during which numerous material evidence was seized.
