A complaint received by the VNA editorial office shows the condition of the new Palasë-Dhermi road, which is covered in mud and construction debris. Again, it is not nature that has brought this situation, but the trucks of construction companies that are working on the resorts of businessmen in the area.
The condition of the road clearly shows that the entities are not implementing the regulation that stipulates that, after each exit from the construction site, trucks must clean their tires before entering urban roads.
It seems that the responsible authorities, such as the Municipality of Vlora, IMT Vlora, the State Police and the State Environmental Inspectorate, are also asleep, for whom a single visit to this segment would be enough to realize that legal rules are not being implemented.
Covering the road with mud and construction debris can have several consequences, from the risk of vehicles skidding, blockage of sewers, damage to the road, to environmental pollution.
This problem does not seem to be noticed by the ARA, which should notify the relevant authorities, as this protects an investment of 1.5 billion lek, completed only two years ago, thus avoiding the usual excuses in case of damage that "the weather is to blame."
