The Special Court held a court hearing against Bledar Polovina and Amar Shkëmbi, the next two defendants suspected of the November 1, 2019 attack on the vehicle of former Durrës prosecutor Arjan Ndoj, with 1 killed and two injured. During the hearing, it turned out that information was received from Interpol Tirana that the defendant Bledar Polovina has been located in the USA. The Albanian authorities have sent the American authorities a request for his extradition. According to the Interpol letter, it turns out that the latter have no information about what happened with this process.
Due to the fact that Polovina has requested the court for a shortened trial via an e-mail sent to his lawyer Sajmir Visha. But the request did not come in the form required by law and for this reason, according to the GJKKO, it cannot be accepted. Amar Shkëmbi's lawyer requested time to familiarize himself with the file acts since he was elected only a day ago. For this reason, the session was postponed to March 11. For the assassination attempt on the Shkozet overpass where Andi Maloku was killed, while Arjan Ndoj and Aleksandër Laho, known as Rrumi, were injured, a controversial name has been sentenced to life imprisonment Redian Rraja, the nephew of former socialist MP Rrahman Rraja, in the role of the executor and Ariol Halilaj as an accomplice. Several other defendants have been sentenced to lighter sentences, while the head of the criminal group Plarent Dervishaj, who is suspected of ordering the crime, is being tried together with Julian Meçen in a separate process at the GJKKO.
