The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, which is investigating the collapse of the Librazhd-Prrenjas road, has requested documentation from several institutions. The group of prosecutors has sent a letter to the Albanian Road Authority, requesting documents related to the road project, as well as the tender procedures.
Sources claim that letters have also been sent to the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Directorate of Geology and Mining.
Prosecutors are investigating the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office", "Violation of equality in public tenders or auctions", "Destruction of the road", and "Pollution of air, water or land".
The Librazhd-Prrenjas road axis has been completely blocked after the collapse of a massif of earth.
