The Tirana Prosecution Office suspends 2 inspectors and their supervisor at the IMT, after they did not report the illegal construction.
The investigations proved that on "Valentina Pistoli" street, in Selitë, Tirana, suspected unauthorized works were being carried out by citizen DG.
The field inspectors for this area, where the unauthorized apartment was built, are citizens EM Sh.G. and the sector supervisor, citizen V.Sh. The investigations showed that these persons did not reflect the fact that in this specific case we were dealing with an illegal construction, and did not inform the Chief Inspector that an administrative measure, a fine, a decision to demolish this construction should be imposed and then a criminal report should be filed with the prosecutor's office.
According to the prosecutor, the illegal construction began on 01.11.2021 and ended on 19.04.2025, when in the meantime, on 02.04.2025, a control was exercised by IMT employees, thus consuming the elements of the criminal offense of 'Abuse of Office' committed in collaboration.
