A serious incident shook the village of Mollaj in Korça on Friday evening, where a conflict over weak motives ended with the serious injury of a 28-year-old man. According to official sources, the young man was stabbed by a 41-year-old man, who was arrested shortly after the incident. The perpetrator, who was also injured in the collision, is in hospital out of danger.
The Korça Police investigations, conducted under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, revealed the full dynamics of the conflict. Video footage obtained from the scene showed that four other citizens intervened immediately after the injury to help the 28-year-old, but in collaboration with each other they attacked the perpetrator, punching him and causing injuries to his head and body.
The following were arrested: ID, 45 years old, Th. P., 47 years old, Dh. K., 47 years old and BS, 33 years old, all residents of the village of Mollaj, suspected of the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury" in collaboration. Meanwhile, 41-year-old Q. is accused of "Intentional murder" in attempted form, "Other intentional damage" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".
A cutting tool (knife), a mobile phone and video footage were seized as material evidence. The procedural materials have now been submitted to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further investigations and determination of legal responsibilities.
