Korça Police have arrested 8 citizens in connection with the serious incident that occurred yesterday in the village of Pirg, where a 14-year-old was killed with a cutting tool (knife), allegedly by a peer during a conflict for weak motives.
As part of the investigations, the Serious Crimes Investigation specialists of the Korça Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Maliq Police Commissariat and under the direction of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, arrested:
EG, 14 years old, resident of the village of Leminot, suspected perpetrator of the murder, as well as for reckless driving. He was slightly injured during the conflict and received medical assistance, leaving the hospital yesterday.
EG, 44 years old and RG, 44 years old, the father and uncle of the 14-year-old, for the criminal offense “Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth”, after hiding the cutting tool.
Four minors from the village of Zvirinë, present during the conflict, for the criminal offenses “Failure to report a crime” and “Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth”, after attempting to hinder the disclosure of the incident.
F.Ç., 34 years old, resident of Leminot, for the criminal offense “Failure to report a crime”, after attempting to leave the scene together with the 14-year-old.
During the operation, knives, the vehicle in which the two citizens attempted to flee, and 5 mobile phones were seized.
The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action.
