A serious incident was recorded this afternoon in the village of Çinar, Fier Shegan administrative unit, Lushnje municipality, where a house was engulfed in flames at around 5:00 PM.
At the time of the fire, no member of the Hatia family was in the apartment, as they were all working in the fields. It was the neighbors who saw thick smoke and immediately notified the firefighters and the owner of the house.
Despite the rapid intervention of the Lushnja firefighters and the efforts of the neighborhood residents with improvised means, the flames have engulfed the entire apartment. No furniture has been saved; everything has been burned down, leaving only the side walls standing.
Besnik Hatia's family is left in the open, without any shelter over their heads.
According to firefighters at the scene, the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical spark. Investigations to fully elucidate the incident are ongoing.
