Eduart Lami, arrested after the mafia execution of postman Lulzim Visha, has been released from prison by decision of the Tirana Court, following the murder of Visha in Zall Mner.
After the crime, the Police conducted searches in several apartments as part of the investigation and an unlicensed weapon was discovered in the house owned by Ervis Lam, Eduart's cousin.
Regarding the charge of illegal possession of weapons, Eduart Lami was sentenced to 10 months in prison by summary judgment, time which the court found to have been served with the time spent in pre-trial detention. Under these conditions, the court ordered his immediate release.
But despite keeping him in solitary confinement from January 2025 until now, the prosecution found no evidence implicating Eduart Lam in the murder. However, investigations to uncover the perpetrators of the serious crime are ongoing.
Postman Lulzim Visha was found murdered in his car in Zall Mner on the morning of January 24, 2025.
The police raised suspicions that the murder could have been committed for property reasons, as he had also physically clashed with Ervis Lami over a property. Ervis Lami turns out to be one of the main names in the criminal world and a suspect for serious crimes, for which he is under investigation. Meanwhile, in relation to Lulzim Visha, the possibility of murder for blood feud reasons was not ruled out, as the victim's brother killed Refik Domi in 1997. He has completed his sentence for this crime and the two Visha and Domi families do not appear to have had any more problems.
