A 63-year-old man drowned in the sea of Lalëzi Bay in Durres this morning at around 07:40.
According to the police, the victim, with the initials IB, lives in Tirana and is suspected of being accidentally drowned.
However, the investigation team has begun work to clarify the circumstances and determine the exact causes.
Police announcement:
"Lalëzi Bay/Preliminary information - Around 07:40, it is suspected that citizen IB, 63 years old, resident of Tirana, accidentally drowned while bathing in the sea.
The investigation team is working to document the cause and circumstances of the incident.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës," the police announced.
