Durrës Police have arrested the inspector of the Port of Durrës, who was wanted in the context of the file known as the "Kurum" scandal. Xhuljo Golgota, 37 years old, a resident of Durrës, who was an inspector at the Port of Durrës, was arrested.
He is accused of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
According to the official Police announcement, the arrest was carried out by specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector, within the framework of the operation codenamed "Eco-Toxic". Golgota was declared wanted after the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, by decision dated February 3, 2026, had assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison".
The case is related to the investigation into the chemical waste of the "Kurum" company, a file that so far includes 21 people with security measures and 12 others wanted or under investigation. The police say that work continues to arrest other wanted persons.
