A serious car accident claimed the lives of the two Dhimaku sisters yesterday evening on the Saranda-Delvinë road.
The incident occurred at around 20:15 in the area known as “Pularia”, where a Lancia vehicle, driven by Ela Dhimaku, 22, collided with an Audi vehicle, driven by Kevi Norra, 23. Ela and Rezi Dhimaku, 20, who was a passenger in the car, died on the spot in the fatal collision. Meanwhile, another girl traveling with them, Antonela Zhupa, 24, was seriously injured and was urgently transported to Tirana for medical treatment.
Numerous police forces, ambulances, and firefighters immediately arrived at the scene to remove the bodies and assist the injured.
The causes of the accident remain unclear, while the investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
