New details have come to light from the tragic accident that occurred this afternoon on Tirana's Grand Ring Road, where a concrete mixer went off the road and ended up under a bridge, after colliding with an "Audi" vehicle.
According to preliminary information, the concrete mixer was moving on the Eastern Ring Road, in the Farkë-TEG segment, towards the roundabout near the shopping center.
It is suspected that the heavy-duty vehicle was traveling at high speed when it approached the roundabout, where it had to stop to give way to vehicles moving inside it.
Strong braking marks on the asphalt were also found at the scene, while investigators are working to accurately determine the causes and dynamics of the accident.
