FIFA has announced the amount of compensation that clubs will receive for their players called up to the national teams for the 2026 World Cup.
Under the FIFA Club Benefits Programme, teams will receive payments for each player who was part of their national team during the tournament period, from 1 June to 19 July 2026.
According to the scheme approved by FIFA, the compensation is set at 4,300 euros per day for each player. The amount will be divided proportionally between the clubs where the player has been registered during the last two seasons.
For the 2026 World Cup, world football's top governing body has made available a total fund of 305.3 million euros, which will be distributed to clubs that allowed their players to represent national teams.
This program aims to compensate clubs for their contribution to international tournaments, rewarding teams that supply national teams with players during major FIFA competitions.
