Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Spain of "hostility" towards Israel after Madrid was expelled from the Civil-Military Coordination Center related to the Gaza ceasefire.
In a video message released today, Netanyahu stated that the decision came after Spain, according to him, has consistently held a stance against Israel.
"Israel will not remain silent in the face of those who attack us," Netanyahu said.
He also accused Spain of "slandering our heroes," referring to soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), whom he described as part of "the most moral army in the world."
"For this reason, I have ordered the removal of Spanish representatives from the coordination center in Kiryat Gat, as Spain has consistently chosen to stand against Israel," he said.
Netanyahu added that countries that, according to him, attack Israel instead of confronting "terrorist regimes" will not be partners in the region's future.
"I am not willing to tolerate this hypocrisy and this hostility. I will not allow any country to wage a diplomatic war against us without paying an immediate price," he concluded.
