The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Eyal Zamir, stated that the Israeli army will continue its military operations in southern Lebanon, emphasizing that the country is not in a ceasefire with Hezbollah, but "in a state of war."
During a visit near the Bint Jbeil area, Zamir said: “The IDF is in a state of war. We are not in a ceasefire and we continue to fight in this area, which constitutes our main fighting zone.” He also added that with Iran, Israel is currently in a ceasefire, but the situation could change at any moment.
Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee announced that the IDF will begin targeting ambulances in Lebanon, following accusations that Hezbollah is using medical facilities for military purposes.
"We will act in accordance with international law against any military activity carried out by Hezbollah, including the use of ambulances and medical facilities," Adraee declared.
