The United States will impose 50% tariffs on "all" goods imported from any country that "supplies Iran with military weapons," President Donald Trump said Wednesday.
Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social that any country found to be supplying weapons to Iran would be subject to this tariff “immediately,” with “no exceptions or exemptions.”
The president wrote: “A country that supplies Iran with military weapons will immediately be subject to a 50% tariff on any and all goods it sells to the United States of America, effective immediately. There will be no exceptions or relief!”
This came as Trump said the US would "work closely" with Iranian authorities, following the ceasefire deal announced on Tuesday and what he called "a very productive regime change."
Trump said in another post on Truth Social that "there will be no uranium enrichment" and that many of the 15 points in the US peace proposals have already been agreed to.
The US and Iran will also discuss tariffs and sanctions relief, Trump added.
Most of Trump's "reciprocal" tariffs, imposed last year, were struck down by the Supreme Court in February.

Metals are a key element of the current tariff regime, which imposes a 50% tariff on products made entirely or almost entirely of steel, aluminum or copper. There is also a 25% tariff on derivative products that are “substantially” made from these metals.
From the end of July 2026, large companies will face a 100% tariff on patented pharmaceutical products and their ingredients. Smaller pharmaceutical companies will face this new tariff rate from the end of September.
