
The United States Ambassador to Tirana, Eric Wendt, held a meeting with the head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, where the focus was on the fight against transnational crime, drug trafficking and illegal migration.
This is Wendt's first meeting with Klodian Brahon in his capacity as head of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime.
During the meeting, the role of independent institutions in confronting organized crime and other security challenges, as well as cooperation between Albania and the United States, was discussed.
The US Embassy announced that the fight against transnational crime, drug trafficking and illegal migration are among the top priorities of President Donald Trump's administration.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of the partnership between the two countries and the contribution of independent institutions in strengthening security and the rule of law.
