Kosovo is experiencing another historic rise in international football. Following recent results, the “Dardans” have temporarily climbed to 76th place in the FIFA world rankings, surpassing Israel and Bolivia. The new ranking, which is expected to be officialized by FIFA on October 7, places Kosovo in this position for the first time.
According to the update, Kosovo has accumulated 1324.46 points and has moved up two positions compared to the previous ranking, where it was in 78th place. Israel is currently in 77th place, while Bolivia is in 78th place.
This progress once again shows the continuous growth of the Kosovo national team in recent years. The "Dardans" ended 2025 in 80th place, while at the end of 2024 they were ranked 99th. A year earlier, in 2023, Kosovo was in 101st position, while in 2022 in 107th place.
The progress is even greater if compared to 2017, when Kosovo was ranked 177th. This means that in less than a decade, the Kosovo representative has climbed more than 100 positions in the world rankings.
If the 76th position is confirmed by FIFA in the official update, it will constitute another high point for Kosovar football. The “Dardans” will also have the opportunity to further improve this position with the results of upcoming international matches.
Kosovo's rise in the FIFA rankings reflects the progress made by the national team in recent years and its consolidation ever closer to the higher-ranked teams in European football.
