The Interreligious Council of Albania has expressed its gratitude for the unified and responsible stance of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party regarding the draft law proposed by the Ministry of Health on "Gender Equality".
In an official statement, the Council assesses that this decision reflects respect for natural values, the fundamental principles of Albanian society and sensitivity to the country's cultural and religious tradition. It also emphasizes that the dialogue and institutional cooperation shown during the process constitute a positive example of political prudence and care for the common good.
The Council expressed special gratitude to the experts from the five religious communities, lawyers, sociologists and specialists who contributed to the preparation of the professional report and lobbying with institutions at home and abroad.
