Two students of the "Ibrahim Rugova" high school in Tirana are in hospital after being injured in a banal fight that took place on the street near the school. Although the police were careful to emphasize in their announcement that the young people's wounds were sustained on the street, everyone is clear that the fight started at school. At that institution that should be an example of knowledge and safety. Or at least that's what the prime minister claims, who not long ago in his propaganda posts, ironically, wrote about safety in schools.
"Security officers have been deployed in public schools who will guarantee the protection of students from any negative phenomenon related to violence or online risks. Thanks to the cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education, specific training has been developed for security officers to guarantee the safety of students in public schools, where support will also be provided by the State Police and the Municipal Police who will monitor them in the areas within the perimeter of the schools, not only monitoring but also preventing various incidents," Rama wrote.
It seems that the prime minister's initiative only serves for the next propaganda on his social networks, as only 24 hours were enough to show that safety in schools remains critical. Today's incident is in the wake of the events that cannot be avoided in Albanian schools. We recall that only a few months have passed since the tragedy of a year ago, where the conflict between young people in the school moved to the street and 14-year-old Martin Cani was killed. Despite the reactions of public opinion, the government has remained only with promises - from cameras and satellites that monitor schools, to police officers in these institutions - but none of them are working.
