Prime Minister Edi Rama has issued a strong warning to residents and builders who are carrying out unauthorized construction in the Valbona National Park. In a post on the social network Facebook, Rama published footage from the demolition of illegal constructions in this protected area, emphasizing that such actions will no longer be tolerated.
"The operation against illegal construction also extends to the Valbona National Park. I say to all those who continue this lowly "sport", in public spaces of the city, on the coast or in the mountains, STOP," Rama writes.
The head of government warns that, based on recent government decisions, builders without permits will face serious legal and financial consequences.
"It's pointless, you'll just waste money and time," he adds, making it clear that the actions will continue with intensity throughout the country, including tourist and mountainous areas.
We remind the Prime Minister that if he loves the law and justice, as well as nature, so much, he should return the water to Valbona and not allow its misuse by resorts and hydroelectric power plants that are drowning the country.
