Former MP Monika Kryemadhi has left the premises of the GJKKO where she appeared for the preliminary hearing. Kryemadhi spoke to the media, where she once again denied the accusations brought against her by the Special Prosecution.
She stated that the defense has requested that other witnesses be called, also objecting to the claims of illegal influence on the adoption of certain laws, which SPAK accuses her of.
Regarding the mining law that her ex-husband, Ilir Meta, is accused of, detained since October 21, 2024, Kryemadhi underlined that the proposer is Edi Rama and not the former president.
And continuing to defend her former partner, she explained that "there is no signature or message from Meta" in the file.
At the end of her speech, while joking with reporters, she highlighted the issue of her phone, which SPAK has as evidence. She added that her messages with Prime Minister Edi Rama, when they elected Erion Veliaj as mayor, will also be released.
"They have my phone, messages from 2014. My messages with Edi Rama. Get ready for the Power Point, because they will appear, you will see my messages with Edi Rama in 2014. How we elected Erjon Veliaj as mayor, because I wanted Veliaj and Meta wanted Blendi Klosi as a candidate. We introduced Ilir Meta because he wanted Blendi Klosi, I wanted Erion Veliaj", she said.
