"We cannot enter into the dance of automatic resignations every time the justice system issues an indictment. Let the justice system do its job, and let us do ours."
With this stance, Edi Rama expressed himself at the meeting of the SP parliamentary group regarding the Belinda Balluku issue and the process initiated in Parliament.
The Prime Minister emphasized that he will not be involved in the parliamentary process until the Immunity Council's report is released, adding that he will then give his speech.
He also revealed that he personally and categorically rejected the idea of Balluk's resignation. "I have categorically rejected Balluk's idea of resignation, on all three occasions," Rama declared.
According to him, the filing of an indictment cannot automatically produce political resignation, while emphasizing the separation between the justice process and political decision-making.
