Sali Berisha's skirmishes in recent days, more than his fear, show the insanity of the DP, which, ironically, is celebrating its 34th anniversary with the emergence of a new hostile group. With the comfort that the declaration of enemy states gives you about two decades ago, I can say with full conviction that when you see the doctor insanity by Lul's Salianji, you can't help but feel a little devilish pleasure that the DP has reached the point where Sali Berisha is challenged by the talents of Lul Basha. And this is not the worst thing before the real nightmare that he suffers and cannot control: the worry that, in front of the lowest quotas of the DP and the age that he has been gifted by God, they will not take away his party. Deeply disappointed by the chosen "son in spirit", Lulzim Basha, in whom he had faith that the latter would not commit patricide, this nightmare is now reviving before his eyes.
Salianji, Alimehmeti and a dozen downtrodden people — even though they have contributed to its resurgence over the past two years — have nothing left to lose except face. In fact, they have not even made any major political moves, except raising concerns that their wrinkled party is being held by Sali Berisha, like a miraculous trophy for Berisha's own great troubles. Apparently, this concern is now shared by an overwhelming majority of militants who still believe in the DP.
Sali Berisha today is weak, powerless to motivate people with normal logic even in the face of successive government scandals. He has ended up wandering the streets of Tirana with a dozen people and a rostrum that, more than for them, seems to speak to himself. Those who follow him are party employees, Shkëlzen Berisha's employees, seat-holding deputies or those who are waiting for God to take the supreme leader to himself.
But Sali Berisha cannot satisfy the latter even though he reads their minds better than they know themselves. In fact, this is his only concern. Who should he leave the DP to? None of those close to him are capable of leading any group section. Sali Berisha knows better than anyone that his leadership is a den of rabbits that will turn into jackals to tear every morsel left from that party the day he no longer steps foot in the DP. The same applies to the parliamentary group. Therefore, his tribal instinct returns him, as always, to his biological family. There, he has found the solution in the most difficult political moments and not only. Since June 2021, when he was declared non grata, Sali Berisha's only battle has been to save his biological family. 4 years later, the only ones who have not suffered any damage from the "narco-regime" are Argita and Shkëlzen Berisha. Even the half-hearted efforts of SPAK did not affect the biological family of the former prime minister, who today reigns happily in millions of wealth. Edi Rama undoubtedly took care of the increase of which. With this process of family financial enrichment and political ruin of the DP, Sali Berisha managed to shrink the DP, to declare new enemies, some of whom must be prepared to carry the scum of the Berisha army's scum on their backs. But let them worry about that themselves. The DP is now a mass of scoundrels and scoundrels in heels and suits who do not know where to put their feet. Not that they are divided between the new group that is rebelling and Sali Berisha. It does not take much to understand that it is Sali Berisha's party. No one in his lifetime can take it. Not even by force. Edi Rama would never allow this either, as long as Sali Berisha is alive, he needs him more than Belinda Balluku.
The DP belongs to Sali Berisha and as such it is up to him to leave the legacy to his family. The legacy is likely to be left within the house. But even here he has a paranoia and with it, a dilemma: the son or the daughter? The first, natural solution would be the son, even for the logic of the imperial salons that Shkëlzeni has adopted as the new zenjins. And yet Sali Berisha is smarter than that and knows that commercial instincts could turn the DP into a commodity that is sold in real estate by his son. Which would be unacceptable for him because the DP is the tower that will be inherited for generations. Therefore, for Sali Berisha, Argita is the most loyal option to leave the DP in safe hands. Even for Edi Rama, it would be easier to negotiate with a woman than with a shopkeeper. Under these conditions, all the new (or old) hostile groups that want to reform the DP within the building with the historic leader would do well to change course and start looking at the family. Not theirs, but the Berisha family's.
