The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has spoken out against the meetings initiated by former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji. In an interview for Euronews Albania, Bardhi said that he supports the official position of the DP and President Berisha, according to which any meeting outside the forums is private.
"My interview has nothing to do with what Salianji is doing. I support the official position of the DP and President Berisha, who has said that 'every meeting outside the forums is private'. The DP does not prevent anyone from freely expressing their opinion or meeting with the democrats. The DP has institutions that have not limited anyone's right to speak and are not going to prevent anyone from freely expressing their opinion," said Bardhi.
Asked if these meetings continue and could attract dissatisfied people, how he would explain the base. Bardhi replied that there is no misunderstanding in relation to the base and that Albania has many more problems that deserve attention than this issue.
